About Us

The Happy Childhood Learning Center is a well-established, nationally accredited early children care organization with a strong focus on advanced education methods and outdoor learning. Our programs are leading the way in preschool education since 1989 and highlight the commitment to caring for the children’s mental and emotional well-being. We offer educational programs led by highly experienced and compassionate teachers and strive to fulfill our mission.

All children can and must learn. They learn at their best when their mental and emotional needs are satisfied and when they feel safe in the surrounding environment. Our school Happy Childhood is proud to provide an educating and caring ambiance in which all our children feel safe and involved. Our center promotes individual creativity, social and academic growth, as well as respect for others, which brings up happy, confident, and successful children!

July 1989
A group of concerned parents of children with disabilities could not find a preschool that would provide the therapy services their children needed and education they deserved. So, they decided to establish an early learning center that would serve all children, no matter their physical or emotional development level or socioeconomic status.

November 1990
Since Happy Childhood foundation, our center has grown from a small preschool serving 8 children to a leading education center providing early education for about 150 children annually.

Mid-1990’s
Greater demand results in a new program for half-day kindergarten at Happy Childhood Learning Center with 20 students, 5 teachers, and a therapist.

November 1991-95
Happy Childhood moves to another location due to fire and safety regulations. In the summer of 1992, Happy Childhood raised $100,000 and bought a property at 45 Rockefeller Plaza, NY, the current home of our early learning center.

2000
Happy Childhood expands again to open its Infant & Toddler Home Daycare Program with 10 certified home care providers.

2015
Happy Childhood is proud to offer excellent full-day preschool care.

2017
Happy Childhood receives the Award of Excellence from ExceleRate Illinois. Now with 15 classrooms for 150 students, and 10 home daycare providers serving 20 infants and toddlers, Happy Childhood Learning Center is the most comprehensive preschool and early learning center in our area!
